Holiday Count Down

3 weeks before you go

• Check Visa Requirements for you and all members of your party
• Ensure that you have your Travel insurance from the moment that you book your holiday
• Find out if vaccinations are required and make the necessary appointments

2 weeks before you go

• Make sure that essential holiday shopping is done, a new wardrobe, sun cream, aftersun and flip flops!
• Pre order your holiday money or travellers cheques
• Get up to date information about your holiday destination from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office
• Read up on your chosen destination to make sure you will make the most out of your visit

1 week before you go

• All Travel documentation should be received around 5 to 7 days prior to departure. If you have not received this contact us as soon as possible.
• Make sure you have official documentation for any medication that you may need to take and make sure you have sufficient supplies
• Confirm who will be looking after any pets you may have!

3 days before you go

• Confirm your luggage weights and sizes, this detail will be on your holiday confirmation and tickets. Make sure that you do not over fill those suitcases as you may be charged an additional fee at the airport.
• Plan your route from home to the airport and make sure you leave yourself plenty of time for traffic. As much as the airline would love to hold the plane for you it costs thousands of pounds for a runway slot!
• Leave a set of house keys and the hotel contact number with a trusted friend/relative
• If you have a house alarm, make sure your trusted friend or relative has the details of your alarm company. No neighbour likes to be kept awake while you are sunning yourself on a beach!

• Pack hand luggage and make sure you have all passports, visas and additional documentation that you may need
• Check all electrical appliances are turned off, if you are escaping the British winter cold ensure the water is turned off at the mains to keep the pipes from freezing!
• Lock all of your windows and doors and make sure your home is secure
