All Inclusive Stavros Holidays  –  Calm Coves on Crete’s Akrotiri – First things first: are there all-inclusive hotels in Stavros?

Stavros itself is a small, low-rise beach village. You won’t find classic, large all-inclusive resorts in Stavros; accommodation here is mainly apartments, villas and boutique hotels. That said, you can still have a hassle-free, ‘all-inclusive-style’ break by following our plan below (and there are full all-inclusive resorts 30 – 45 minutes away if you prefer a resort base). Discovering Stavros

Perched at the tip of the Akrotiri peninsula just north-east of Chania, Stavros is famous for the sheltered curve of ‘Zorba’s beach beneath its dramatic limestone peak. It is not for from Chania, 15 to 20 minutes transfer from the airport; 25 minutes from the town. (Off course traffic permitting). Local buses run from Chania to Stavros for about €2 – 3 each way. Taxis from Chania Airport to Stavros typically cost about €27 – 30.



The beach is calm and family-friendly; you can swim, snorkel and potter to waterfront tavernas for lunch. Note that sunbed prices here are higher than elsewhere in Chania-recent visitor reports range from €25 up to €40 per set depending on row and season-so many people just bring a towel or head to nearby Kalathas where sets have been much cheaper.

If you like a peaceful base with space and sea views, these local spots fit the vibe:

If you want the simplicity of all-inclusive without being tied to a big resort, do this:

1. 1️⃣ Pick a base with meal options. Book an apartment or suite and add breakfast or half-board (eg., Blue Beach’s published HB supplement). That secures your morning and evening meals.
2. 2️⃣ Pre-book the ‘extras you would expect in all inclusive.
   •✔️  Airport transfers: fix-price taxi about €27 – 30 each way to/from CHQ.
   • ✔️  Day trips: budget for 1 – 2 paid activities (see ideas below).
   • ✔️  Sunbeds: bring a fold-up mat/umbrella to dodge the pricier sets or plan a day at cheaper nearby beaches.
3. 3️⃣ Set a drinks & snacks wallet. You’ll find local prices for beer, coffee and snacks are reasonable in Greece compared with resort list prices. We’ve included realistic numbers in the costings section below.

Result: you get the freedom of Stavros (quiet beach, tavernas, sunsets) with a near-all inclusive level of predictability on food, drink and activities.

Prefer true All Inclusive nearby?

Base yourself close to Stavros and day-trip in:

• ✔️ Kalyves (roughly 35 – 40 mins):
  Kiani Beach Resort  –  full all inclusive (buffet meals, snacks, drinks, kids club and shows; ‘all inclusive Plus upgrade also available).
  • Kalyves Beach Hotel  –  beachfront hotel with an All Inclusive option.

• ✔️  Gerani/Platanias side (roughly 45 – 60 mins):

Some premium hotels between Tersanas and Stavros (eg., Isla Brown Chania, Curio Collection by Hilton) are sold by tour operators on All Inclusive boards in certain packages-useful if you want a chic resort base a few minutes from Stavros.

Eating & drinking in Stavros

Waterfront spots like Almyriki and casual cafes (eg., Mama’s Place) serve Cretan salads, fresh fish and simple grills; expect a wide price range depending on dish and setting (Holidaymakers report Almyriki’s range at about £4 – £42). In general Chania-area benchmarks put a sit-down main around €14.50 at inexpensive places, a local draught beer about €4 and a cappuccino around €3.40.

Sunbed tip: reports vary widely for Stavros (from €25 to €40 a set), so many travellers bring mats or go to nearby Kalathas where holidaymakers have found sets nearer €10.

• ✔️  By taxi: CHQ (Chania Airport) → Stavros is short; typical pre-booked fares show about €27 – 30 per car (up to 4 pax). Minibuses are available for groups.
• ✔️  By bus: KTEL Chania return Stavros about every few hours; expect about 40 minutes.

Here is a realistic daily price guide (per adult), showing local menu ranges with Chania cost-of-living data and recent traveller reports. Your exact spend will vary by chosen restaurant and season but these are good working figures:

• ✔️  Breakfast: cafe breakfast or bakery + coffee €6 – 10 (cappuccino averages €3.39).
• ✔️  Lunch: salad, souvlaki/gyros or pasta, water/soft drink €10 – 16 (mains at simple places often about €12 – 15).
