Holidays in Loggos – A picture-postcard resort, the prettiest on Paxos
A holiday in Loggos takes you to the smallest of the fishing ports on Paxos, and is basically a winding harbour-front, lined with shops and restaurants. A small number of traditional pastel-coloured houses fill the resort, and the tiny main square in Loggos is home to a handful of bars and tavernas.There are hardly any tourist shops in Loggos, just a small number of mini-markets and a bakery, and most visitors to Loggos are content to stroll around the narrow, and often tourist-lined streets, enjoying the charm of this picture-postcard village.
The quayside restaurants and tavernas are a great place to watch the local fishermen bring in the catch of the day, and the quality of dining here in Loggos is first-class, with many popular tavernas requiring reservations.
The beauty of the tiny little village of Loggos is enhanced by the copious green olive groves covering the surrounding hills, which serves as a scenic backdrop to the resort. One of the landmarks of Loggos is the old abandoned soap factory in the corner of the harbour, with its’ tall statue guarding the entrance. Accommodation in Loggos ranges from studios actually located in the village, to more secluded apartments and villas up on the hillside behind the resort.

The nearest beach to Loggos is Levrechio, a small beach made up of fine pebbles and just a 5 minute walk around the headland, which boasts crystal-clear waters and a convenient taverna right on the beachfront.More secluded beaches can be found along the coastline, such as Kipos and Marmari, and for those seeking real seclusion other tiny coves and beaches can be reached by boat. Boat trips from the port at Loggos are popular, with the 40-minute trip to neighbouring Anti Paxos, with its’ deserted white sandy beaches, perfect for snorkelling and picnic lunches. Loggos is on the islands’ bus route, so exploring the rest of Paxos is easy, and the area is perfect for scenic nature walks and rambles through the abundance of olive groves.
