Tamariu Holidays, Costa Brava — Tiny Cove, Big Heart, Brilliant Value – Discovering Tamariu
A holiday to Tamariu will take you to a lovely quiet town in Costa Brava with pine-clad cliffs. The local beach ‘Platja de Tamariu’ is a sheltered sandy bay with crystal clear waters. The town is small with a few restaurants, ideal for families who want to do not much mor the chill out from everyday life, or take walks around the coastal paths.Where it is and how to get there
Tamariu is situated around the Palafrugell area of the Costa Brava. You will fly into Girona Airport, the handiest to Tamariu. Booking a package holiday will include your airport transfer which is around 35 miles. If you haven’t booked a package, buses run via Girona if you choose public transport. The feel of the place
Life focusses around the bay of this tiny town with an impressive beach. There is no less than 7 restaurants which run along the promenade. Sitting centre beach is Kayaking Costa Brava Tamariu where you can test out your skills. Everything is nearby. You can have lunch on one of the beachside restaurants, only seconds from the beach.Tamariu is good for holidaymakers who love to snorkel and those who want to take it easy, and with around 13 restaurants in the town you have a choice of great food. It doesn’t have much to do, but families with very young children will find it ideal. If you have promised yourself to learn how to scuba five, the Stollis Divebase, a dive school is just at the end of the promenade. The beach has both showers and toilets.
One small critical point though, people with mobility problems could have accessibility problems with steep slopes and steps, and the lack of ramps that access the hotels and restaurants.
Are there all-inclusive hotels?
With two main hotels in Tamariu you won’t find any all inclusive options. This is a small resort town, more in line with B&B or half-board options. This may be a blessing as it will give you plenty of time to check out the 13+ restaurants which are mainly based around the promenade. The best places to stay in Tamariu
